UNION MEMBERSHIP/CHECK-OFF. A. All employees who have signed Union membership cards will begin paying uniform membership dues and initiation fees on or after the thirty-first day following either the effective date of the Agreement or the date of the beginning of their membership in the Union, whichever such date shall later occur.
UNION MEMBERSHIP/CHECK-OFF. SECTION 1. It is mutually agreed that as a condition of employment, all employees covered by this Agreement shall become members of the Union after their probationary period and that thereafter as a requisite of continued employment such employees including those presently members of the Union, shall remain members in good standing in the Union. Initiation fees and Union dues shall be remitted to the financial officer of the Union by the Employer.
UNION MEMBERSHIP/CHECK-OFF. 4.01 All regular employees who are Union members at the signing of this agreement shall, as a condition of employment, maintain their Union membership in good standing for the duration of this contract.
UNION MEMBERSHIP/CHECK-OFF. All employees of the Company covered by the agreement shall become and remain members of the Union during the term of this agreement and shall have Union dues deducted in accordance with article and the Ontario Labour Relations Act. The Company agrees to deduct an amount equivalent to the regular monthly Union dues as certified in writing by the Union from employees’ pay as per Section of the Labour Relations Act of Ontario. These deductions shall be made in equal amounts on a weekly basis. An employee shall, upon commencement of employment, sign a written authorization for the deduction of an amount equivalent to the regular Union dues as certified by the Union. The amounts so deducted shall be submitted by the day of the following month to the Financial Secretary of Local of the and shall be accompanied by an alphabetical listing of the names of each employee on behalf of whom the deductions were made, the amount deducted on behalf of each employee and the total gross income on which the deduction was based. In consideration of the deduction and forward- ing service by the Company, the Union agrees to indemnify and serve harmless the Company against any claims or liability arising out of or resulting from the collection and forwarding of the regular weekly dues. Upon commencement of employment, a new employee shall be introduced to the Unit Chairperson or his appointed designate, and the Union and the employee shall be allowed fifteen (15)minutes paid time during regular working hours in order that the employee may be introduced to the Union and its activities.
UNION MEMBERSHIP/CHECK-OFF. It is agreed that all employees in the bargaining unit who are members of the Union on the date of signing of this agreement or who become members of the Union during the life of this agreement shall remain members of the Union as a term of employment. New employees hired in ad design must make application to join the Union prior to the completion of the probationary period. As a condition of employment, the Company shall deduct every two weeks from the wages of each employee covered by this collective agreement, a stated amount to be determined by the local union. Such amount will be determined by Union resolution, a certified copy of which will be remitted to the Company. The Company will remit monthly to the local union the amounts so deducted, but not later than the 20th of the following month.
UNION MEMBERSHIP/CHECK-OFF. Section 1. All employees covered by this agreement shall, as a condition of continued employment, become and remain members of the Union in good standing during the term of this agreement or pay an agency fee to the Union equal to the amount of monthly dues. All new employees covered by this agreement shall, as a condition of employment, become members of the Union immediately after thirty (30) calendar days of employment or pay an agency fee to the Union equal to the amount of monthly dues, and remain in good standing during the term of this agreement.
UNION MEMBERSHIP/CHECK-OFF. 6.1 The Canadian Union of Public Employees will certify in writing to the Employer the Union dues currently in effect under the Union's by-laws. The Union agrees that it will provide the Employer with thirty (30) days notice of any change in Union dues to be deducted.
UNION MEMBERSHIP/CHECK-OFF. (a) Any employee covered by this Agreement shall have the right to become a member of the Union, or not, as he sees fit. Union dues, or deductions in lieu thereof, will be deducted from all employees in the Bargaining Unit who are in receipt of wages from the Employer. The deductions outlined above shall be in such amounts as the Union may advise in writing from time to time. Upon receipt of a written authorization from the Union, the Employer will deduct prepaid dues in such amounts as the authorization may direct. Such deductions shall be forwarded to the Union treasurer within ten (10) days following the end of each unit accompanied by a list of additions and deletions for a master The master list shall be provided in April and October of each year. The Union agrees to and save the Employer harmless from any claim by an employee arising out of the deduction arrangements in this Article. The Employer shall provide the total regular wages for all Bargaining Unit employees for each fiscal unit.
UNION MEMBERSHIP/CHECK-OFF. 5.1 A compulsory check-off shall apply to all employees coming within the scope of this agreement. It shall continue during the period of this contract. All deductions made under the provisions of Article 5 will be remitted monthly to the proper authorized officials of the Union, together with a list of employee names for such deduction.
