Union Delegate Involvement in Inductions Sample Clauses

Union Delegate Involvement in Inductions. Union delegates will be invited to new employee inductions (whether in-person or online) and provided up to 10 minutes to talk to the new employees about the role of the union in the workplace and community, and how the new employee can join the union if they wish. The delegate invited will depend on which union (either ANMF or ASU) has coverage over the new employees’ work type. Where there is no delegate at the site, or the delegate is unknown, the wider delegate group will be notified and asked to nominate one delegate to attend where possible. During inductions, delegates may provide written material such as a pamphlet or sign-up form to new employees, and may discuss relevant union matters without disparaging the Employer. A one-page document will be provided by each union and included in any ‘induction pack’ (however named) that the Employer provides to the new employee, whether digitally or physically.
