Common use of Union Action Clause in Contracts

Union Action. Upon notification by the Employer to the Union or its agents that certain of its members are engaged in activity that is in violation of Article VII, Section 1 of this agreement, the Union shall immediately order such members, in writing, to return to work. The Union will also provide the Employer with a copy of such order and a responsible official of the Union shall publicly order such workers to return to work. In the event that a strike or other violation not authorized by the Union occurs, the Union agrees to take all reasonable, effective and affirmative action to assure the members return to work as promptly as possible.
