TRIAL PERIOD FOR PROMOTION WITHIN THE BARGAINING UNIT. The successful applicant shall be placed on trial for a period of up to three (3) months. Conditional on satisfactory service, the employee shall be declared permanent after the period of three (3) months. In the event that the successful applicant proves unsatisfactory, in the judgment of the Employer, which shall not be exercised in an unreasonable manner, in the position during the trial period, or if the employee is, in the judgment of the Employer, which shall not be exercised in a unreasonable manner, unable to perform the duties of the new job classification, he shall be returned to his former position and wage or salary rate. Any other employee promoted or transferred because of the rearrangement of positions, shall also be returned to his former position and wage or salary rate.
