Treatment of Indebtedness. Failure to pay I-House fees will result in denial of further meals, as well as prevent release of transcripts and registration for the following semester. It may also result in eviction from the premises in accordance with the provisions of section no. 8 of this license. The I-House assumes no responsibility for reserving space for students who have paid fees with checks that have been returned by their banks for various reasons.

Which can include denial of registration. ▪ Offset of paychecks, loans, grants or scholarships payable through the University, and/or income tax refunds or rebates. ▪ Payment of any attorney fees, court costs and any other collection costs that may occur.

Treatment of Indebtedness. Failure to pay University Housing fees or paying fees with a dishonored check that has not been redeemed by the University will result in the University taking one or more of the actions identified in section 10 (“Nonpayment of License Fees.”). Such circumstances may also result in the University pursuing the debt via its in-house collection office, assignment of the debt to a private collection agency, suit filed in small claims court, disclosure of the debts, and/or judgment to a credit bureau organization, and/or submission of the name to the California State Franchise Tax Board for offsetting of state income tax refunds. After 60 days of non-payment, debts will be sent to collections. Submission of the debt to a collection agency will result in negative credit information reported to credit bureaus. If any of these collection steps are necessary, the debtor will be held liable for any attorney fees, court costs, and any other collection costs that may occur.

Treatment of Indebtedness. Failure to pay Student Housing fees or payment with a dishonored check that has not been redeemed by the university will result in action described in “Nonpayment of License Fees,” Section 19 of the Terms and Conditions of this Student Housing License Agreement. It will also result in the University pursuing the debt via its in-house collection office, assignment of the debt to a private collection agency, suit filed in small claims court, disclosure of the debts, and/or judgment to a credit bureau organization, and/or submission of the name to the California State Franchise Tax Board for offsetting of state income tax refunds.
