Common use of Transportation Allowance Clause in Contracts

Transportation Allowance. When an employee is required to travel to the Hospital, or to return to his home, as a result of being called back to work outside of his regularly scheduled hours, the Hospital will pay transportation costs either by taxi or by his own vehicle at the rate of (amounts to be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix) or such greater amount that the Hospital may in its discretion determine for each trip. The employee will provide to the Hospital satisfactory proof of payment of such taxi fare.

When an employee is required to travel to the Hospital, Hospital or to return to his home, home as a result of being called back reporting to or off work outside between the hours of hours, (other than reporting to or off work for his regularly scheduled hoursregular shift) or at any time while on standby, the Hospital will pay transportation costs either by taxi or by his own vehicle at the rate of thirty-five per mile (amounts to be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix) a maximum of fourteen dollars or such greater amount that as the Hospital may in its discretion determine for each triptrip between the aforementioned hours. The employee will provide to the Hospital satisfactory proof of payment of such taxi fare.

The employee will provide to the Hospital satisfactory proof of payment of such taxi fare.
