The "Transfers Without Postings" clause defines the conditions under which asset or fund transfers can occur without the need for corresponding accounting entries or postings. In practice, this clause may apply to internal transfers between accounts within the same entity or to specific types of transactions that are exempt from standard bookkeeping requirements. Transfers Without Postings.
(a) It is understood by the parties that as a general policy employees shall not be required to transfer from one work centre to another against their will. However, the Commission and the Union recognize that in certain cases a transfer may be in the best interests of the Commission and/or the employee. In such cases, an employee will be fully advised in writing of the reason for their transfer.
(b) Transfers or voluntary demotions may be granted without posting, for:
(1) compassionate or medical grounds to regular employees who have completed their probationary period;
(2) all employees who have become incapacitated by industrial injury or industrial illness.
(c) Employees wishing a transfer under (b)(1) or (b)(2) may submit a request to the Vice President, Human Resources or designate. It will be considered prior to the filling of an appropriate vacancy.
Transfers Without Postings. Lateral transfers or voluntary demotions may be granted, without posting for the following reasons, prior to such transfers discussions will be held with the Joint Labour/Management Committee:
(a) compassionate or medical grounds to full-time employees who have completed their probationary period;
(b) all employees who have become unable to perform their regular duties due to industrial injury or industrial illness;
(c) handicapped or ill family members who require attention that is unavailable in the immediate area.

(a) compassionate or medical grounds to employees who have completed their probationary period;
(b) all employees who have become incapacitated by industrial injury or illness.
Transfers Without Postings. (a) Compassionate Transfers - Lateral transfers or voluntary demotions may be granted, without posting for the following reasons, prior to such transfers discussions will be held with the Joint Labour/Management Committee:
(1) compassionate or medical grounds to regular full-time employees who have completed their probationary period;
(2) all employees who have become unable to perform their regular duties due to industrial injury or industrial illness;
(3) handicapped or ill family members who require attention that is unavailable in the immediate area. On relocation to the new seniority block an employee who transfers pursuant to #1 through #3 above will take all of his/her seniority with him/her to the new block.
