Common use of Training Opportunities Clause in Contracts

Training Opportunities. The District and Union hereby agree that effective participation of classified staff within the college decision-making system requires adequate and sufficient in-service training on a release-time basis. Accordingly, the District will provide appropriate and sufficient training for those classified employees who wish to participate in the following: ▪ Budget Committee ▪ Planning Committee ▪ Appraisal and Hiring Committees ▪ Staff Development Committee ▪ Negotiating Team ▪ Executive Committee of the NVC-UCP ▪ Classification Review Committee ▪ Stewardship Release for such training will be made in consultation with the supervisors of the participating employees.
