Traffic Division Officers Swat or Entry Team Officers Critical Incident Officer(s) Field Training Officer(s) Community Relations Officer(s) Accident Reconstructionist(s) Special Investigations Positions(s) The Chief of Police will have authority to assign, provided he documents the reasons why other(s) were denied and any one who was denied the position can grieve the denial(s). Assignments will be made pending the arbitrator’s decision. The number of Captains positions will be reduced from six to four. The next two vacancies, which occur as a result of discipline, demotion (voluntary or involuntary), and attrition, in the rank of Police Captain will be replaced by Police Lieutenants.
