To Associate Professor. Except in unusual circumstances, four (4) or more years of full-time service in rank as assistant professor are required prior to the date of promotion (application may be made during the fourth year in rank), and possession of the terminal degree in the appropriate discipline is required consistent with applicable unit standards.
