Time off Without. Pay Time off without pay, other than approved leaves of 16 absence without pay, may be used in lieu of ETO only when scheduled in advance and 17 approved by the nurse's supervisor/manager/director. When requests for scheduled 18 time off conflict with staffing requirements on a department, preference will be given to 19 ETO requests over requests for time off without pay.
Time off Without for any of the purposes outlined in (1) above, additional Official Union Representatives may be granted leave; or to meet with a during the informal complaint stage and formal stages of the grievance procedure, as well as to prepare for arbitration hearings. An opportunity to adjust and take their lunch and/or rest breaks in order to investigate and possibly avoid an alleged grievance; provided such adjustments do not interfere with the Employer’s ability to meet operational needs.
