The Recording Secretary of COAP shall provide to the University Librarian a detailed written account of COAP’s reasons for its recommendation. This written account will be reviewed and approved by the members of COAP prior to its being provided to the University Librarian. This report shall be included in the candidate’s permanency file.

The Recording Secretary of the Union shall be notified in writing within ten (10) working days of all vacancies or new positions within the bargaining unit. Such vacancies or new positions shall be posted for a period of five (5) working days before an appointment is made. Employees will be notified of competition results within fifteen (15) working days where it is reasonably possible. The posting of vacant positions shall not be unduly delayed.

The Recording Secretary of Local 79 shall be notified in writing when an employee is initially assigned in accordance with this Article, and in the event of any extension. The Recording Secretary of the Local shall notify the Employer in writing from time to time, of the names of the officers of the Local, the Stewards and the respective effective dates of their appointment and the names, if any, of those former Stewards who are being replaced. The Employer shall keep the Local advised of the names of the Employer's representatives.
