The Employer and the Union agree that, in accordance with the provisions of the Human Rights Code of Ontario, every person has a right to equal treatment with respect to employment without discrimination, and a right to freedom from harassment in the workplace in all matters including race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family status, record of offences, gender identity and gender expression. It is further agreed that the provisions of the Human Rights Code of Ontario, as amended, shall be adhered to. See Policy # GN 3-037 (Violence Prevention Policy) & HR-210 (Workplace Bullying Policy) and other related policies.
The Employer and the Union will not condone harassment in the workplace and will cooperate to maintain a harassment free workplace.
