The Bumping Process. 25 1. Vacancies that are created and approved by the Board of County 26 Commissioners to be effective the day following the layoff date shall be treated as 27 vacancies available during a layoff process. 28 2. Employees who are reassigned to a position pursuant to these 14 provisions and do not accept that position will be deemed to have resigned. 15 8. Employees may not be reassigned to positions under this article 16 unless qualified to perform the duties of that position. Employees may be denied rights 17 otherwise available under these provisions only if they lack knowledge, skills or abilities 18 required for the position that are not easily learned on the job within ninety (90) days.
