Thanksgiving Break. When the Board approved calendar calls for no student or teacher attendance on the day before Thanksgiving and the certified staff works extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences, the 12-month school building employees must work using one of the options listed below for those days.  Work extended hours as the teachers on the extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences in exchange for the day off on the day before Thanksgiving. If this option is chosen, the employee must waive any claim to overtime pay unless the work calendar for the 12-month employee states the day before Thanksgiving is an unpaid day off.  Work regular hours on the extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences and on the day before Thanksgiving.  Work regular hours on the extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences and use a vacation day to take off on the day before Thanksgiving. All other 12 month employees, i.e. CEC, will work regular work hours on the extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences and the day before Thanksgiving.

  • Christmas Day Easter Tuesday shall be observed as a Public Holiday in lieu of Easter Saturday and any work performed on Easter Saturday shall be paid at ordinary Saturday penalty rates. Should Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Australia Day or ANZAC day fall on a weekend, the following Monday, or other day as agreed shall be taken in lieu.

  • Christmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.

  • Weekend Holidays 9.3.1. A full-time employee who works a Monday through Friday schedule and the calendar holiday falls on a Saturday, the employee shall be allowed the preceding day off. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the employee shall be allowed the following day off. If the employee works the day preceding or following such a holiday, he/she shall be given another workday off with pay or shall receive payment for that day at the regular rate.

  • WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY DELIVERIES Unless otherwise specified in the Bid Specifications or by an Authorized User, deliveries will be scheduled for ordinary business hours, Monday through Friday (excluding legal holidays observed by the State of New York).   • Christmas Closedown 15.1 It is agreed that whenever annual leave is taken in conjunction with the Christmas/New Year period (as per Calendar in sub-clause 2.11), it is to be taken in accordance with the following procedure.

  • Effective January A member who is medically unfit for duty at the time of the commencement of his scheduled vacation as a result of an injury or illness compensable under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and in receipt of benefits from the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board or 2) for which medical documentation has been provided and which has resulted in an approved medical leave or being unfit for regular duties each for days or more, shall be entitled to reschedule his vacation, provided the vacation as rescheduled is taken before December of the calendar year in which the injury occurred, or December of that year if approved by the Chief of Police, such approval not to be unreasonably withheld. If the member remains medically unfit for duty such that the rescheduled time is not taken by December as aforesaid, the member shall be entitled to choose to either (1) receive in the first pay period of the following calendar year an amount equal to the salary he would normally receive in respect of the vacation time not taken or (2) carry over the vacation to the following year, to be scheduled as approved by the Chief or his designate. In the event that the member chooses to carry over the vacation to the following year, the time must be taken prior to the end of the following calendar year. In the event that the carried-over time is not taken prior to the end of the following calendar year, the member shall receive a payout at the salary rate applicable when the vacation time was earned. It is further understood and agreed that regardless of seniority, no scheduling of any carried over vacation time will result in any member's scheduled vacation being cancelled or bumped. A member who is on suspension, either paid or unpaid, at the time of the of his scheduled vacation, shall not be required to report in for the period of his scheduled vacation. A member who is on suspension, either paid or unpaid, and who has not scheduled his vacation for the year shall do so as soon as requested and, once such vacation time is approved, shall not be required to report in during the scheduled vacation time.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Monday through Friday Landlord shall have the right to prescribe the weight, size and position of all safes and other heavy property brought into the Building and also the times and manner of moving the same in and out of the Building. Safes and other heavy objects shall, if considered necessary by Landlord, stand on supports of such thickness as is necessary to properly distribute the weight. Landlord will not be responsible for loss of or damage to any such safe or property in any case. Any damage to any part of the Building, its contents, occupants or visitors by moving or maintaining any such safe or other property shall be the sole responsibility and expense of Tenant.

  • Weekends Holidays that fall on weekends will be observed on a day established by the School District.
