Terrazzo. Marble, Mosaic, Venetian Enamel and Terrazzo, cutting and assembling of Mosaic, the casting of all Terrazzo on jobs. All bedding above concrete floors, or walls for the preparation, cutting, laying or setting of metal, composition of wooden strips and grounds and the laying and cutting of metal strips, laths, or other reinforcements, where used in Mosaic and Terrazzo work, shall be the work of the Mosaic and Terrazzo Workers. All Cement Terrazzo, Magnesite Terrazzo, Dex-O-Tex Terrazzo, Epoxy Matrix Terrazzo, Exposed Aggregates, Rustic or Rough washed for exterior or interior of buildings placed by either machine or by hand, and any other kind of mixtures of Plastics composed of chips or granules of marble, granite, blue stone, enamel, mother of pearl, quartz, ceramic coloured quartz and all other kinds of chips or granules when mixed with cement, rubber neoprene, vinyl, magnesium chloride or any other resinous or chemical substances, used for seamless flooring systems, and all other binding materials when used on walls, floors, ceilings, stairs, saddles or any other part of the interior or exterior of the building and also other work not considered a part of the build- ing such as fountains, swimming pools, etc. Also all other substi- tutes that may take the place of Terrazzo work, shall be the work of the Terrazzo Mechanics, and shall have the right to use all tools which are necessary in the performance of their work. Cutting and assembling of art ceramic and glass mosaic comes under the jurisdiction of the Mosaic Worker and the setting of the same shall be done by the Tile Layers.

Terrazzo. It shall be understood that the word "Terrazzo" refers to any kind of aggregates, whether crushed or manufactured and then crushed, regardless of the material they are made of or the name they may be called, and then mixed with cement or any other binding material in the right proportions in the regular way at the building, laid or installed to form a finish for any exposed surface, whether upon interior or exterior floors, stair treads, promenade roofs, garden walks, interior walls, ceilings, swimming pools, window stools and aprons, toilets, bath and shower partitions, mullion caps, cornices, etc., and all places where Terrazzo may be used to form a finished surface for practical use, sanitary finish or decorative purposes when installed by the usual Terrazzo or Mosaic methods. All work incidental to the foregoing shall also be embraced within the word "Terrazzo". Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, no employee shall be permitted or required to install or set Precast Terrazzo or Mosaic which is within the jurisdiction and coverage of an agreement negotiated by another branch or branches of the I.U. of B.A.C. controlling the same.

Terrazzo. FLOORING
Terrazzo. A material consisting of irregular marble or stone fragments set in a matrix of cement and mechanically abraded and polished after casting to produce a smooth hard surface. THRESHOLD - The step or sill at an external door of usually timber tile or brickwork. TOUGHENED GLASS - Glass made by rapidly cooling the glass to make it shatter into small pieces when broken for safety, It usually cannot be cut and needs to be made to order to size. It is unlike laminated glass which is made from layers of glass with silicon between to crack only when broken for safety and can easily be cut on site. UNDERPINNING - The construction of new footings or concrete piers under an existing footing to prevent its collapse or failure. VALLEY - The meeting line of two inclined roof surfaces at a re-entrant angle. VALLEY SERIES TRUSSES - A series of timber roof Trusses that form the valley within a hip roof construction. WEEP HOLES - Vertical joints or perpends in brickwork left open above the flashing line to allow water from behind the wall to escape.
