Temporary Service Credit Sample Clauses

The Temporary Service Credit clause defines how periods of temporary employment are recognized for the purpose of calculating an employee’s total service time. Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which temporary work—such as contract, seasonal, or part-time assignments—can be counted toward benefits eligibility, seniority, or pension calculations once the employee transitions to a permanent role. Temporary Service Credit. Whenever a nurse who has been serving 23 in a temporary position is appointed to a regular position in the bargaining unit in the 24 same department in which the temporary position was situated, and the regular 25 position is of the same or equivalent classification, one-half (1/2) of the time served in 26 that temporary position, up to but not more than three (3) months, shall be deducted 27 from the nurse's probationary period. In order to qualify pursuant to this Section, the 28 temporary service must have been continuous. The nurse shall be granted PTO 29 leave pursuant to Article 10 , Section 1 of this agreement based upon his/her date of 30 hire into a regular position in the bargaining unit. The intent of the parties is that 31 nurses serving a modified probationary period will receive a reduced PTO leave 32 accrual at the end of their reduced probationary period.

Temporary Service Credit. A bargaining unit or limited status employee, who worked as a temporary employee during the two year period immediately prior to their most recent date of hire as a bargaining unit employee or limited status employee, may request in writing credit for the period of temporary service. The request must be made following successful completion of the probationary period. The employee must have at least 1,000 hours of temporary service in the first year immediately preceding the date of hire. If this time requirement is met, the employee may be eligible for temporary service credit in the 2nd year immediately preceding such date of hire if they have worked at least 1,000 hours of temporary service in such 2nd year. Related to Temporary Service Credit

  • Temporary Upgrade An employee in a temporary upgrade status shall have no right to grieve or arbitrate release from such temporary upgrade status.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.

  • Temporary Suspension JetBrains reserves the right to suspend Customer’s access to JetBrains Products if Customer or User’s use of Product is in violation of this Agreement or disrupts or imminently threatens the security, integrity, or availability of a Product.

  • Temporary Layoffs A. The Employer may initiate a temporary layoff for up to twelve (12) working days per fiscal year. Employees will be given thirty (30) days’ notice before the effective date of a temporary layoff. Employees may request alternative temporary layoff days from their manager or supervisor and any requests will be considered and approved or denied in writing. B. A temporary layoff will not affect an employee’s incremental movement, vacation and sick leave accrual rates, or seniority. C. A temporary layoff is leave without pay. An employee may not use any leave for a temporary layoff day(s).
