Temporary Personnel. Each Exhibitor participating in the Exposition is expected to use special care wherever it is deemed necessary to hire temporary help to assist the firm in its exhibiting or hospitality activities, so that personnel so selected by Exhibitor will be of an appropriate caliber in keeping with the high standards of the Exposition and the related meeting.

Temporary Personnel. The parties recognize that the administration may have to hire full-time faculty members on a temporary basis for limited purposes, such as extended illness of a full-time faculty member, sabbatical leave replacement, etc. The right of the faculty to participate in the selection of such temporary personnel is recognized. Prior to the selection of a full-time temporary faculty member the President of the Federation will be invited to appoint a committee of three (3) faculty members to interview the potential candidates. When the need for full-time temporary personnel ceases, such personnel may be terminated in accordance with the provisions in their hiring contract letter without resort to provisions of this agreement dealing with dismissal. During the period of temporary employment, other terms of this agreement shall apply.
Temporary Personnel. 1. Temporary teachers shall be defined as teachers who are hired by the District for a given period of time to fill a temporary teaching position. They are employed for less than 150 days within one school year or part of a school year as a temporary teacher for members of the teaching staff or to fill a temporary vacancy. Teachers employed as temporary for members of the teaching staff and/or as temporary teachers shall be subject to the policies governing the employment of the regular staff, except as follows:

Temporary Personnel. For the purposes of this Collective Bargaining Agreement, a temporary employee will mean someone employed on an interim or “as needed” basis (including someone who is replacing another employee on an approved leave of absence) or who is employed to work on a special or emergency basis for a specified period, consistent with the Civil Service Law as applicable; Temporary personnel are not covered by this Collective Bargaining Agreement. The utilization of temporary employees shall not infringe upon bargaining unit exclusivity.

Temporary Personnel. A temporary employee refers to a qualified person who is hired into a position or positions for a period not to exceed 9 months in any 12 month period. The 9 month limitation shall be inclusive of all temporary appointments with any State Entity. Temporary appointments include appointments to temporary positions, conditional, provisional and substitute appointments with any State Entity.
