Notwithstanding the provisions of this Article, upon the recommendation of the Human Resources Director, the City Manager may approve the temporary assignment of an employee to a status of leave with pay, pending conduct or completion of such investigations or hearings as may be required to determine if disciplinary action is to be taken.

Throughout the above procedure, the employee may be represented.
