Temporary Leave — Non-Accumulative. Professional Employees using non-accumulative leave will make a written application to their building principal/administrator for Leave for Governmental Service, Judicial Leave, Association Leave and Professional Leave in advance. Requests for non-accumulative leave shall be made on the District form. These requests for leave may be approved/disapproved by the school principal/administrator. Such requests appropriately filed shall be processed and responded to within five (5) working days after receipt by the building principal/administrator. Individuals who do not agree with the building principal's/administrator's decision may request a review by the Department of Human Resources within five (5) days of the notification of the principal's/administrator's decision.

  • Temporary Military Leave An employee who is a member of the reserve corps of the Armed Forces of the United States or of the National Guard or of the Naval Militia shall be granted a Temporary Military Leave while engaged in military duty ordered for the purposes of military training, drills, encampment, naval cruises, special exercises or like activity as such member providing that the period of ordered duty does not exceed one hundred eighty (180) calendar days including time involved in going to and returning from such duty.
