In the event of a vacancy or for “special assignments/projects”, expected to exceed 30 working days, the Company agrees to post for such Temporary vacancies or special assignments/projects. The most senior qualified (where qualifications are a requirement) employee will be awarded the job. The employee will be paid the rate of pay to which they are transferring to. When the Temporary bid ends the employee will be returned to their former classification and shift, providing their seniority makes available a position in that classification. The transferred employee will continue to accumulate seniority within their own classification while working in the temporary posting.
