Temporary Job Postings. A vacancy which occurs for more than six (6) weeks will be posted stating that the position is limited and shall indicate the estimated duration of the limited job. In any event, the limited job shall not exceed six (6) months. Upon termination of a limited job, the employee filling the vacancy shall be returned to the classification and job location in which he/she last worked. In the event that a part-time employee is the successful applicant, the said employee shall retain his/her part-time status during the limited full-time period. An employee filling a temporary vacancy of six (6) weeks or longer duration shall not bid on any other temporary posting until the end of his/her temporary position.

Subject to the terms of Articles 2.02(b), 23 and 29 and the Article 29 - Letter of Agreement – Temporary Work Opportunities/Assignments, temporary opportunities/ assignments that are known to be more than twenty (20) weeks duration shall be posted and the following provisions of Article 19 will apply: clauses 19.01(a)(i), (ii), (iii); 19.01(b); 19.02(a)(i to xi); 19.02(b); 19.02(d); 19.03(a); 19.03(d); 19.04; 19.05(a)(i), (ii); 19.07(c); and 19.10. A temporary vacancy expected to exceed sixty (60) days will be posted, per the posting procedure per Article 13.01a), stating that the position is limited and shall indicate the estimated duration of the limited job. In any event, the limited job shall not normally exceed twelve (12) months. In the event that a part -time employee is the successful applicant, the said employee shall retain their part-time status during the limited full-time period. In the event the temporary vacancy is filled by a newly hired employee for a term definite contract the expiration of such contract shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration.
Temporary Job Postings. In the event of a vacancy or for “special assignments/projects”, expected to exceed 30 working days, the Company agrees to post for such Temporary vacancies or special assignments/projects. The most senior qualified (where qualifications are a requirement) employee will be awarded the job. The employee will be paid the rate of pay to which they are transferring to. When the Temporary bid ends the employee will be returned to their former classification and shift, providing their seniority makes available a position in that classification. The transferred employee will continue to accumulate seniority within their own classification while working in the temporary posting.
Temporary Job Postings. Posting of vacancies for Teacher Assistants and Child and Youth Care Workers that occur after the first pay period in October shall be posted as Temporary Vacancies to the end of the school year.

(a) Whenever a position becomes vacant due to illness, leave of absence, vacation, etc., where an employee, who has a signed job, will be off his/her signed job for at least one (1) week, the Company shall be free to post a Temporary Job Posting. All employees are free to sign for this posting with the understanding that when the Temporary Job Posting is complete, the employee may return to his/her original job.

Temporary Job Postings. Any vacancy which is the result of sickness, accident, or leave of absence, and which is known to be more than thirty (30) days, will be posted in the department. After six (6) months the temporary posting will be reviewed by the Department Xxxxxxx. The posting will be granted to the bidder with the highest department seniority who has the skill and competence to perform the job. The bidder’s position will then be filled by a temporary posting and the same with the following position. The third position may be filled at the discretion of the Company.
