Temporary Closures. When the University determines that, due to inclement weather or other reasons, the University offices will be temporarily closed, the employees will suffer no loss of pay for the hours the offices are temporarily closed. When certain employees are required to report to work during such temporary closing, they will be given equivalent time off with regular pay to be arranged with the supervisor. Compensatory time will not be given to any employee who is on leave, annual leave, sick leave, or on University business in an area not affected by the temporary closure or local weather conditions for the period during which the University is temporarily closed.
Temporary Closures. The right to temporarily close or to restrict the use of the Airport or any of the facilities for maintenance, improvement, or for the safety of the public.
Temporary Closures. Contractor may close any Location temporarily at any time if Contractor reasonably deems the Location unsafe (a “Temporary Closure”). Contractor shall document any Temporary Closure in writing to Client. Client will be notified as promptly as possible by phone or fax. Further, Contractor will post a notice of the Temporary Closing at the Location’s gate site. For purposes of clarity, a Temporary Closing includes, without limitation, the following: inclement weather, fecal matter/vomit, insufficient number of staff or lifeguards per number of patrons, or board member directed closure. No refunds will be given for a Temporary Closure.
Temporary Closures. If the Employer makes a preplanned decision to temporarily close a work area/clinic/location during hours of operation, Employees who would have been scheduled to work during such hours shall have the following options by seniority: • Work at a different location if the Supervisor determines that such work is available; • Use vacation or personal holiday time; • Use make up time as provided in Article 3.07; or • Take time off without pay. In the event a preplanned temporary closure exceeds two (2) scheduled work days for an Employee, such Employee shall be compensated for the remainder of the closure. Premium pay or temporary lead pay shall not be paid for hours not worked because of preplanned temporary closings. Only normal pay shall be paid for scheduled hours lost because of such situations. Employees on prescheduled paid time off such as personal holidays, vacations or leave of absence are not eligible for preplanned temporary closing pay, but shall be paid as previously scheduled.
Temporary Closures. Whenever inclement weather, power outages, heating failures, or other similar unforeseen events cause the temporary closure of any school on a teacher contract day, teacher attendance shall not be required. Teachers will be paid for such a temporary closure day but agree to make up any such days that are rescheduled by the District. If the Board should determine that lost days need to be made up, it may extend the teacher work year by up to the number of missed days, with the exception of the first missed day. Such days will only be student contact days. For the first full day of school closure, members will count additional hours worked beyond the contract day as the make-up time. The Calendar Committee will identify a minimum of two (2) days within the adopted calendar for the following school year to be used as make up days should the Board determine it is necessary. The Calendar Committee will include members of SFEA. Any paid leave used by a bargaining unit member on a day that is declared a temporary closure will be re-credited in full.
Temporary Closures. 17.1. Early years providers from time to time will have to close temporarily this could be for as short as a day or longer. In any instance the provider must contact the Early Years Team on 666-3980 or via ▇▇▇@▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇.▇▇ as soon as possible to inform them and discuss any potential actions.
17.2. The Department for Education (DfE) advises that providers temporarily closed should still submit their headcount as normal with children expected to attend, however this must be discussed with the early years team prior to submission.
17.3. All parents affected by the temporary closure must be given contact information for the Early Years Team on 666-3980 or via ▇▇▇@▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇.▇▇ to enable them to gain support to find alternative provision should they need it. If parents do require a placement at another provider during the temporary closure then it is likely that the original provider would need to pass over any funding they have received for that child/ren for closure period.

Temporary Closures. Casual staff will receive no payment in the event of a temporary closure of a facility. If appropriate work is available at another centre, this will be offered at the pay rate applicable to the alternative work.
Temporary Closures. If the Employer decided to temporarily close a Designated Location, an Employee so affected may be transferred to another Designated Location for their shift(s). If, in the opinion of the Employer, a transfer to an alternate Designated Location is not feasible, the Employee shall have the following options:
1. Take vacation during the period in question if vacation credits are available to use;
2. Use Comp time which has been banked; or
3. Take a leave of absence without pay for the full period or any part thereof.
Temporary Closures. 7.1 If for any reason, save for planned closures for maintenance, the Contractor considers it necessary to stop accepting Council Waste, then by agreement with the Authority (which shall not be unreasonably withheld), the Site shall temporarily cease accepting Council Waste.
7.2 The Contractor shall give the Authority one month’s notice of planned closures for maintenance of the Site.
7.3 The Contractor shall immediately notify the Authority of any other plans to temporarily close the Site for the receipt of Council Waste.
7.4 If the Site is closed in accordance with sub- clause 7.1, the Authority shall be entitled to make such alternative arrangements to dispose of such Council Waste as it shall consider necessary.
7.5 Any additional costs in excess of £10,000 arising in a Year of the Term which are reasonably and necessarily incurred by the Authority as a result of a temporary arrangements made under sub-clause 7.4, including any excess haulage payments that the Authority is required to pay to the Waste Collection Authorities, shall be recharged to the Contractor PROVIDED ALWAYS that the Contractor’s liability for such costs shall cease upon the expiry of any notice given in accordance with clause 9.2 of the General Conditions (“Force Majeure”).
7.6 The Authority shall give the Contractor 3 week’s notice of the planned inputs to the Site on a Bank Holiday if the Site is permitted to operate on such days. Council Waste will not be delivered on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
7.7 For every one half of a working day (this excludes Saturdays and Sundays) for which the Site cannot accept Council Waste from the Authority then the Nominal Minimum Quantity shall be reduced by 0.2%.
