Temporary Assignment to a Higher Position. Whenever an employee is temporarily assigned in writing by the Employer to regularly perform the principal duties of a higher level position for a period of five or more scheduled working days within the employee’s standard work period as specified in Article 7, Section 2, he/she shall be compensated at a salary which represents a two step increase beyond the employee’s current step for such period of assignment. Said increase shall be paid beginning with the first day and to include the days working such assignment. Such assignments must be by mutual agreement.
Temporary Assignment to a Higher Position. Said increase shall be paid beginning with the first day and to include the days working such assignment. Such assignments must be by mutual agreement.
Temporary Assignment to a Higher Position. The employing official may temporarily assign a regular monthly employee the duties and responsibilities of a higher-level class for up to one (1) year. Such appointments shall be made in increments of no more than six (6) months.
Temporary Assignment to a Higher Position. The assignment of a nurse to any higher position for any eight (8) hour period or longer shall result in the nurse being compensated at either the base rate of pay of that position, or her or his regular rate of pay plus the Medical Center’s premium for temporary assignment, whichever is greater.
Temporary Assignment to a Higher Position. When an employee is temporarily assigned other responsibilities going substantially beyond the employee's normal level of responsibility for a period of two (2) weeks or more due to the absence of the incumbent of a higher‐classified position, the employee will be paid a premium rate as set out below for the period of the assignment. The temporary increase will be to the lowest step in the range for the higher‐classified position, which gives an increase of at least four per cent (4%) of the current salary to a maximum of ten per cent (10%). In the latter case, the temporary rate will be ten per cent (10%) above the employee's normal rate. The Union will be notified when acting assignments are expected to exceed three (3) months.
Temporary Assignment to a Higher Position. Assignment to a higher paid position for eight (8) consecutive hours or longer shall be compensated at the rate of fifty cents per hour when assigned by management.
Temporary Assignment to a Higher Position. Assignment to a higher paid position for an eight consecutive hour period or longer shall be compensated at the base rate of pay for that higher position.

Whenever an employee is temporarily 8 assigned in writing by the Employer to regularly perform the principal duties of a higher 10 standard work period as specified in Article 9.2, the employee shall be be paid a temporary 11 salary increase (TSI) of at least five percent (5%) increase over the present salary but not 12 to exceed the maximum of the range for the higher classification Such increase shall be 13 effective the first day of the assignment when approved. Such assignments must be by 14 mutual agreement.
Temporary Assignment to a Higher Position. The assignment of an employee to any higher rated position for four (4) hours or half of their shift, whichever is greater, shall result in the employee being compensated at either the base step wage rate of that position, or the step wage rate that is equal to or immediately greater than the employee’s prior wage rate plus three percent (3%), whichever is greater. A higher rated position is a position with a base step wage rate that is greater than the base step wage rate of the employee’s prior position.

Said increase shall be paid beginning 29 with the first day and to include the days working such assignment. Such assignments must 30 be by mutual agreement.
