Common use of Telephones Clause in Contracts

Telephones. a. To ensure that representatives have a reasonable opportunity to communicate with employees, other representatives, and management officials, the Employer agrees that representatives may use existing Activity telephones for authorized representational duties, when such use does not interfere with the Activity’s requirements. This Agreement does not extend to toll facilities except as provided below. Telephone service for the exclusive use of the Local Union will be at Local Union expense to include both installation and rental (except for a class B [on base] telephone), which may be negotiated at the local level.
