Stage sets and backcloths must be of fire resistant material.\n8.5 The Hirer may not bring any articles of machinery or equipment (including hairdryers, curling wands, irons, portable audio devices, kettles, heaters, cooking appliances), or any electrical cables, electrical distribution panels, lights, projectors or other electrical installation equipment or fittings into the Theatre without first obtaining the approval of the Manager, and all such equipment shall have been tested and tagged by a competent person to comply with the Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZs3760: 2000.\n8.6 No single insulated cable is permitted to be connected to any Saraton power source. This applies to all voltages including extra low voltage (under 32 volts).\n8.7 In the event of special electrical equipment being used, the Hirer shall engage and pay for the services of a qualified electrician if so directed by the Manager.\n8.8 The Hirer shall not load any floor, stage, or other mechanical equipment beyond their capacities. A stage load notice is fixed to the wall in the stage area.\n8.9 The use of Pyrotechnics at the Saraton Theatre is strictly forbidden.\n8.10 No dangerous goods are to be brought to the Venue by the Hirer.\n8.11 In the event that the Hirer wants to use a bubble, fog and/or smoke machine as part of the theatre production, the Hirer must first seek permission from the Saraton Manager and also provide all details as required in relation to same, including providing an appropriate insurance policy which covers the Hirer for these items. The Saraton Manager must be advised at what time and duration the smoke machine will be used during the performance so that the Saraton Manager can switch off the smoke detectors for the period of time that the smoke machine is being used, and can then reactivate the smoke detectors once the show is completed. A Saraton technician will be required to be on stage to deploy the stage smoke fans during the performance should an emergency fire warning arise and will be charged out at a negotiated per hour rate plus GST for the period of the performance.\n8.12 In the event that the Hirer\u2019s insurance policy does not cover the Hirer for legal liability for items such as scaffolding, erecting staging, rigging, audience participation or crowd control, then the Hirer is excluded from constructing/conducting any of these items at The Saraton Theatre and Cinemas. In the event that the Hirer has appropriate insurance coverage for any of these items, then the Hirer must first obtain permission from the Saraton Manager for any or each of these items before the
