Teaching Assistants. A. Staff members who are assigned as teaching assistants to supervise supplemental in- structional activities shall not be assigned more than 21 hours of such activities within a normal work week of 35 hours within a five day period. Supplemental instructional activities are any activities outside of the lecture component. Teaching assistants shall not be required to give lectures or take responsibility for students’ grades.
