Teaching Assignments. 11.1 With the exception of teachers being transferred or in the event of district program or staffing adjustments, returning teachers shall be notified in writing of their school, tentative program, schedule, or grade level assignment for the ensuing year not later than May 1 (elementary) and May 15 (secondary). Consultation with the teacher shall take place before any written assignment is made.
