Common use of Teacher Work Day Clause in Contracts

Teacher Work Day. The work day for teachers inclusive of recess, planning and preparation time, and lunch period shall not exceed seven (7) hours and fifteen (15) minutes, including a minimum of 10 minutes before and a minimum of 5 minutes after the instructional day. "Working Days" as used in this Agreement exclude Saturdays, Sundays, Board observed holidays and all school vacation periods.

The teacher work day for teachers inclusive of recess, planning and preparation time, and lunch period secondary schools shall not exceed be longer than seven (7) hours and fifteen thirteen (1513) minutesminutes per day, including a minimum of 10 minutes before the lunch period. The teacher work day for elementary schools and a minimum of 5 minutes after for the instructional fifth (5th) grade shall not be longer than seven (7) hours per day. Teacher Work Day. 13.1 Providing that assigned duties do not require otherwise, teacher workday will be from 7:30 am to 4:20 pm.
