Common use of Teacher Absence Clause in Contracts

Teacher Absence. The Board shall provide an occasional/supply teacher when that is necessary due to the absence of a regular classroom teacher. A Principal and/or Vice-Principal may replace an absent teacher.

Teacher Absence. The Board shall provide an occasional/supply teacher occasional Teacher when that a Teacher is necessary due absent. Teachers will not be required to cover other Teacher absences. Teachers will not be required to assume the absence of instructional and/or supervision duties caused by a regular classroom teacher. A Principal and/or Vice-Principal may replace an absent teacherstaff member’s absence.

Other teachers will not be required to assume instructional or supervisory duties due to a teacher’s absence with the absence exception of a regular classroom teacherduties assigned during an emergency. A Principal and/or Vice-Principal If an occasional teacher is not available then another teacher may replace be required to assume the duties of an absent teacherteacher and that teacher will be provided with compensatory time at a later date.

Teachers will not normally be required to assume the absence of a regular classroom teacher. A Principal instructional and/or Vice-Principal may replace an absent teachersupervision duties caused by another staff member’s absence.
