Tea Money Clause Samples

The 'Tea Money' clause defines the rules and limitations regarding informal payments or gratuities made to facilitate business transactions, often in regions where such practices are customary. Typically, this clause specifies the maximum allowable amount, the circumstances under which such payments may be made, and the requirement for proper documentation or reporting to ensure transparency. Its core function is to provide clear guidelines for handling minor facilitation payments, thereby helping the parties comply with anti-bribery laws and avoid legal or reputational risks associated with improper payments.
