Common use of Sustainability Requirements Clause in Contracts

Sustainability Requirements. 1.13.1 This Project shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the requirements of Am. Sub. H.B. 251 of the 126th General Assembly and the resulting rules, policies, and procedures adopted by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission establishing Sustainability Requirements for Capital Improvements Projects, including but not limited to the applicable provisions of OAC 3318-3. 1.13.1.1 The CM shall assist the A/E to incorporate cost-effective, energy-efficient, green building practices to the maximum extent possible into the Project. 1.13.2 If the Project is designed and constructed under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (“LEED”) Rating System developed by the U.S. Green Building Council or another rigorous rating system used to facilitate achievement of sustainability goals for the Project, the CM shall provide submittals certifying achievement of sustainable design rating system criteria for verification by the Green Building Certification Institute or other third party in accordance with the Contract Documents.
