Common use of Supplementary Vacation Clause in Contracts

Supplementary Vacation. (i) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of twenty-five (25) years of continuous service, Employees shall have earned an additional one-time five (5) working days (thirty-eight and three quarter (38 ¾) hours) vacation with pay. (ii) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of thirty (30) years of continuous service, Employees shall have earned an additional one-time five (5) working days (thirty-eight and three quarter (38 ¾) hours) supplementary vacation with pay. (iii) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of thirty-five (35) years of continuous service, Employees shall have earned an additional one-time five (5) working days (thirty-eight and three quarter (38 ¾) hours) supplementary vacation with pay. (iv) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of forty (40) years of continuous service, Employees shall have earned an additional one-time five (5) working days (thirty-eight and three quarter (38 ¾) hours) supplementary vacation with pay. (v) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of forty-five (45) years of continuous service, Employees shall have earned an additional one-time five (5) working days (thirty-eight and three quarter (38 ¾) hours) supplementary vacation with pay. (vi) Subject to Article 24.04, the supplementary vacation may be taken at the Employee’s option at any time subsequent to the current supplementary vacation employment anniversary date but prior to the next supplementary vacation employment anniversary date. Any supplementary vacation not taken prior to an Employee achieving a subsequent supplementary vacation entitlement shall lapse.

Any Regular Part-time Employees shall earn supplementary vacation not taken prior to an Employee achieving a subsequent with pay calculated in hours in accordance with the following formula: Hours specified in Article 30.01: (17.02) The applicable % outlined below = Number of hours of paid supplementary vacation entitlement time to be taken in the current supplementary vacation period. (1) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of twenty-five (25) years of continuous service, Employees shall lapsehave earned an additional two percent (2%). (2) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of thirty (30) years of continuous service, Employees shall have earned an additional two percent (2%). (3) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of thirty-five (35) years of continuous service, Employees shall have earned an additional two percent (2%). (4) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of forty (40) years of continuous service, Employees shall have earned an additional two percent (2%). (5) Upon reaching the employment anniversary of forty-five (45) years of continuous service, Employees shall have earned an additional two percent (2%).

(vi) Subject to Notwithstanding the carry-over provisions in Article 24.0422.05, the supplementary vacation Supplementary Vacation may be taken at carried over without it considering to have exceeded the Employee’s option at any time subsequent to the current supplementary vacation employment anniversary date but prior to carry-over limit, until the next supplementary vacation employment anniversary dateweek of Supplementary Vacation is awarded. Any supplementary vacation not taken prior to an Employee achieving a subsequent supplementary vacation entitlement shall lapseat that time will be paid out.
