Summer Quarter. Pay for summer quarter academic employees whose work is limited to classroom instruction and office hours shall be based upon the following: SALARY = Annual base salary in effect for the preceding quarter x .264 x (% of one-third of normal annual full-time teaching load) Pay for summer quarter associate academic employees shall be in accordance with Articles I and II of this Appendix. Pay for work other than classroom teaching shall be in accordance with Article VI of this Appendix. Nothing in this Article shall be construed to require the Employer to offer a summer quarter.
Summer Quarter. Full-time faculty teaching Summer Quarter will be paid for the summer session according to the pay practices for part-time academic employees.
Summer Quarter. The first day of instruction will be the second Monday after the end of Spring quarter. The quarter will be eight weeks long. Should a governmental agency external to the district (e.g. SBCTC, Washington State Legislature, the Federal Government) necessitate a change to the start of summer quarter, the first day of instruction shall be the first Monday or Tuesday in July, whichever occurs earliest. The District will notify the faculty about the change in start date and its rationale with adequate notice to accommodate personal planning. The holiday will be the observed July 4th holiday.
Summer Quarter. All summer school salaries for Instructional Faculty, regardless of Full or Adjunct status during the academic year, shall be paid in accordance with Section E.
Summer Quarter. Pay for summer quarter Part-Time academic employees shall be in accordance with Articles I (Academic Employee Compensation). Pay for work other than classroom teaching shall be in accordance with Article VI (Extended Contract Days) of this Appendix. Nothing in this Article shall be construed to require the Employer to offer a summer quarter.
Summer Quarter. Annual contract holders who have worked 450 or more contact 10 hours over the current academic year (consisting of autumn, winter, and spring quarters) are 11 eligible for the summer premium rate of pay. The premium rate is equal to 1.20 of the Extension 12 Lecturer's monthly base rate of pay and will be dispersed equally across summer quarter pay 13 periods.
Summer Quarter. 1. Work assignments during Summer quarter will be voluntary for faculty on academic year appointments.
Summer Quarter. Consistent with Article 21.1, gross quarterly pay shall be distributed 10 across the applicable number of pay periods in a quarter. Although there are five (5) pay periods 11 in Summer Quarter and six (6) pay periods in Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters, the number 12 of pay periods will not impact gross quarterly pay.
Summer Quarter. All summer school salaries for instructional faculty, regardless of full- or adjunct status during the academic year, shall be paid in accordance with Section D. Section G. Activity Stipends. Stipend activity consists of duties which are in addition to the expectations of a full-time load or adjunct teaching assignment. Stipends will be paid to a music director responsible for the performances of a music group, a drama director responsible for a public theater performance by their performance class, or other faculty in comparable situations.
Summer Quarter. Optional If summer is not an option, consider taking ART 101 in spring quarter. If summer is not an option, consider taking ART 210 in spring quarter.
