Substrate means the surface onto which a coating is applied or into which a coating is impregnated.

Assay means a laboratory analysis of Crude Petroleum to include the following: A.P.I. Gravity, Reid vapor pressure, composition, pour point, water and sediment content, sulfur content, viscosity, distillation, hydrogen sulfide, flash/boiling point and other characteristics as may be required by Carrier.
Pyrolysis means the thermal degradation of a substance in the absence of any oxidising agent, which does not form part of the substance itself, to produce char and gas and/or liquid; and
impermeable surface means a surface or pavement constructed and maintained to a standard sufficient to prevent the transmission of liquids beyond the pavement surface, and should be read in conjunction with the term “sealed drainage system” (below).

Cannabis concentrate means cannabis that has undergone a process to concentrate one or more active cannabinoids, thereby increasing the product’s potency. Resin from granular trichomes from a cannabis plant is a concentrate for purposes of this division. A cannabis concentrate is not considered food, as defined by Section 109935 of the Health and Safety Code, or a drug, as defined by Section 109925 of the Health and Safety Code.

Medical marijuana concentrate means a specific subset of Medical Marijuana that was produced by extracting Cannabinoids from Medical Marijuana. Categories of Medical Marijuana Concentrate include Water-Based Medical Marijuana Concentrate, Food-Based Medical Marijuana Concentrate, Solvent-Based Medical Marijuana Concentrate, and Heat/Pressure- Based Medical Marijuana Concentrate.
Corrosion inhibitor means a substance capable of reducing the corrosivity of water toward metal plumbing materials, especially lead and copper, by forming a protective film on the interior surface of those materials.
Screening means the evaluation process used to identify an individual's ability to perform activities of daily living and address health and safety concerns.

Structural components means liners, leachate collection systems, final covers, run-on/run-off systems, and any other component used in the construction and operation of the MSWLF that is necessary for protection of human health and the environment.
Aerosol cooking spray means any aerosol product designed either to reduce sticking on cooking and baking surfaces or to be applied on food, or both.
Chemical substance means a substance intended to be used as a precursor in the manufacture of a controlled substance or any other chemical intended to be used in the manufacture of a controlled substance. Intent under this subsection may be demonstrated by the substance's use, quantity, manner of storage, or proximity to other precursors or to manufacturing equipment.
Cannabinoid means any of the chemical compounds that are the active constituents of marijuana.
