Student Funding. As provided for in the Cooperative Innovative high school program, CIHS students shall enroll in WTCC courses offered through this partnership tuition free. WTCC shall receive state funding for teaching CIHS students in accordance with applicable state laws and State Board of Community College (SBCC) Code.
Student Funding. It is the policy of the IOF to guarantee funding for up to 2 years for MSc students, and up to 4 years for PhD students. In order to maintain their eligibility for this funding, eligible students are required to apply for NSERC scholarships and UBC Affiliated Fellowships. The student and supervisor must be in agreement before the student accepts any positions or contracts for pay.

Students may be funded to this minimum through a combination of NSERC (or other) Scholarships, Teaching Assistantships and Research Assistantships. Students and supervisors are required to complete and sign the “Department of Botany Grad Student Financial Support Form” each year which specifies the funding sources (RAships, scholarships, TAships, etc.) that comprise the base funding levels for MSc and PhD students.
