Student Assessments. Student performance assessments will be conducted in accordance with the schedule in Appendix 7 and the following:

Elementary (K-5) classroom teachers shall, upon request, be furnished with two (2) half-day guest teachers to complete their Student Assessments/Running Records in the very best positive testing situation to provide the students a testing environment free from class distraction. Consistent with the Testing MOU signed between the parties on November 30, 2016, the parties will jointly develop the district initiated/district wide student assessments for 2020-21 to identify specific areas where instruction or intervention may be needed to improve student learning. This agreement does not prohibit any individual student assessment requested by a parent or an assessment specifically and unambiguously mandated by state of federal law. Unit members will develop formative and progress monitoring assessments through their lessons and will provide actionable information about student’s learning status relative to the desired lesson goal. Staff will use data from assessment to adjust their instruction, identify those in need of further intervention and enrichment and ensure student progress toward learning goals. Unit members may use the resources and tools outlined in the California Department of Education’s (“CDE”) Guidance of Diagnostic and Formative Assessments when developing policies and procedures for implementing diagnostic assessments, formative assessments, and summative assessments.

The Program Supervisor will schedule two half days, one in the fall and one in the spring, to be designated as student assessment work days for teachers to enter assessment notes. Student Assessments. The District and SCTA will convene the Assessment Committee on or before May 1, 2022 to develop processes for monitoring student progress to further the work on MTSS and establish the common assessments.
Student Assessments. 13.1 In order to assess whether students in the Charter School have attained specific levels of achievement, as well as the effectiveness of the Charter School, the County Board and PISOTA will collaborate in creating a Performance Expectations Agreement that will be a part of this Charter and will identify the Parties’ expectations regarding the academic performance of students enrolled in the Charter School.
