STRIKES AND ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES. 16.1: The parties to this Agreement mutually recognize that the services performed by the employees covered by this Agreement are services essential to the public health, safety and welfare. The Union therefore agrees that there shall be no interruption of these services for any cause whatsoever, by the employees it represents, nor shall there be any concerted failure by them to report for duty, nor shall they absent themselves from their work, stop work, or abstain in whole or in part from the full, faithful and proper performance of the duties of their employment, or picket the Employer's premises. The Union further agrees that there shall be no strikes, sit- downs, stay-ins, stoppages of work, or any acts that interfere in any manner or to any degree with the services of the Employer.

  • Illegal Activities Seller shall not engage in any conduct or activity that could subject its assets to forfeiture or seizure.

  • Illegal Activity No portion of the Property has been or will be purchased with proceeds of any illegal activity.

  • Political Activities Grant funds cannot be used for the following activities:

  • Political Activity Prohibited a. None of the funds, materials, property or services provided directly or indirectly under this contract shall be used for partisan political activity.

  • Typical activities (i) Assist in the management of a large functional unit with a diverse or complex set of functions and significant resources.

  • Other Related Activities (a) The Administrator and Affiliates thereof shall have the right to engage in the following activities (subject to compliance with laws and intellectual property rights of third parties) in exchange for the payment of an annual royalty of $10.00 per annum:

  • Professional Activities The Superintendent/Principal shall be encouraged to attend appropriate professional meetings at the local, state, and national levels. Within budget constraints, such costs of attendance shall be paid by the Board. The Superintendent/Principal’s attendance at professional meetings at the national level must have prior approval of the Board.

  • ILLEGAL STRIKES 10.1 The Public Service Labour Relations Act provides penalties for engaging in illegal strikes.

  • Regulated Activities The Company shall not itself, nor shall it cause, permit or allow the Bank or any other of its Subsidiaries to (i) engage in any business or activity not permitted by all applicable laws and regulations, except where such business or activity would not reasonably be expected to have a Material Adverse Effect on the Company, the Bank and/or such of its Subsidiaries or (ii) make any loan or advance secured by the capital stock of another bank or depository institution, or acquire the capital stock, assets or obligations of or any interest in another bank or depository institution, in each case other than in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and safe and sound banking practices.

  • EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 1. In this agreement, extra-curricular programs and activities include all those that are beyond the provincially prescribed and locally determined curricula of the school.
