Common use of Stop Payment Rights Clause in Contracts

Stop Payment Rights. If you have arranged in advance to allow a third party to make regular EFTs from the account(s) with us for money you owe them, you may stop payment of these preauthorized transfers from the account. You must notify us verbally or in writing at any time up to three (3) busi- ness days before the scheduled date of a preauthorized transfer. We may require written confirmation of the stop payment order to be made within fourteen (14) days of any verbal notification. If we do not receive the written confirmation, the verbal stop payment order will cease to be binding fourteen (14) days after it has been made.
