Steam Plant. The Maintenance Department will normally perform any maintenance work within or directly related to the operation of the steam plant. The relief power engineer may perform such maintenance work if qualified to do so. No maintenance man will be laid off as a result of the relief power engineer performing such maintenance work. The relief power engineer may also perform work outside the Steam Plant if the work is steam related. Steam Plant. When required to cover for a steam plant employee for Christmas Eve day or Christmas, mill spares that are qualified will be required to work such on a voluntary basis. If no qualified spare volunteers for the work, then the most junior qualified spare will have to work with the understanding that no one will have to work two years in a row.
