Statutory/Public Holidays. (a) In lieu of the following statutory holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, B.C. Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day; each member shall have 88 straight time hours credited to the member's account on January 1st which is to be taken off en bloc, rather than as they occur, during that calendar year. In addition thereto 8 hours at straight time rates will be credited to the member's overtime bank for any other Federal, Provincial or Municipal holiday proclaimed during that calendar year. Members employed in Support Services and C.I.B. shall take such statutory holiday leave on each statutory holiday as they occur throughout the year.

Statutory/Public Holidays. 4.6.1 All work undertaken by Employees (excluding Casual Employees) on a gazetted Public Holiday as appointed under the Holidays Act 1983 or a Show Holiday as notified in the Queensland Government Gazette shall be paid in accordance with clause 3.3 and the Employee shall be granted a substitute day in accordance with the Workplace Relations Act 1996, as a day off at another time/day as mutually agreed.

  • Religious Holidays When a religious holiday, not observed as a holiday, as provided in Section 2 above, falls on a supervisor's regularly scheduled work day, the supervisor shall be entitled to that day off to observe the religious holiday. Time to observe religious holidays shall be taken without pay except where the supervisor has sufficient accumulated vacation leave or accumulated compensatory time, or, by mutual consent, is able to make the time up. Supervisors shall notify the Appointing Authority at least twenty-eight (28) calendar days prior to the leave.
