Common use of Statutory Override Clause in Contracts

Statutory Override. This article modifies and preempts sections 143.028, 143.029, 143.030, 143.032, 143.033, 143.036, 143.041, 143.042, and 143.044 of the Texas Local Government Code. This article further preempts, to the extent of any conflict, all other contrary state statutes, local ordinances, executive orders, civil service provisions, or rules adopted by the Department head or head of the city or by a division or agent of the City, the Firefighters and Police Officers Civil Service Commission as provided by Texas Local Government Code Section 142.118.
