State Employees' Retirement Board Staff. The Executive Director is responsible for administrative matters relating to the operations of the System. The Chief Investment Officer is charged with the coordination of all investment activities and matters within the System. The Investment Office reports to the Board on emerging trends and issues of concern to public pension funds generally and to the Fund in particular. The Investment Office is responsible to the Board to review and analyze the current investment climate, and .to recommend adjustments with respect to this Policy that are appropriate to take optimum advantage of new conditions and strategies as they arise in the market place. To ensure that the goals and objectives of the Board are being fulfilled, the Investment Office also reviews and analyzes the philosophies, policies, and strategies employed Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System Adopted April 21, 2004, and amended April 29, 2009 3 by the investment advisors, evaluating the appropriateness of their decision-making processes and their investment styles in relation to present and projected investment horizons.   • Public Employees Retirement System “PERS”) Members. For purposes of this Section 1, “employee” means an employee who is employed by the State on August 28, 2003 and who is eligible to receive benefits under ORS Chapter 238 for service with the State pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 733, Oregon Laws 2003.

  • REGISTERED RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN 1. In this Article:

  • Severance and Retirement Options (a) (i) Where an employee resigns within 30 days after receiving notice of layoff pursuant to article 14.02 (a)(ii) that his or her position will be eliminated, he or she shall be entitled to a separation allowance of two (2) weeks' salary for each year of continuous service to a maximum of sixteen (16) weeks' pay, and, on production of receipts from an approved educational program, within twelve (12) months of resignation, may be reimbursed for tuition fees up to a maximum of three thousand ($3,000) dollars.

  • Regular Employment The Employer may fill a position with a regular employment appointment for positions scheduled to work twelve (12) months per year.

  • Pre-Retirement Counseling Leave ‌ After reaching earliest retirement age, each employee shall be granted up to three and one-half (3-1/2) days leave with pay to pursue bona fide pre-retirement counseling programs. Employees shall request the use of leave provided in this Article at least five (5) days prior to the intended date of use. Authorization for use of pre-retirement counseling leave shall not be withheld unless the Appointing Authority determines that the use of such leave will handicap the efficiency of the employee's work unit. When the dates requested for pre-retirement leave cannot be granted for the above reason, the Agency shall offer the employee a choice from three (3) other sets of dates. The leave herein discussed may be used to investigate and assemble the employee's retirement program, including PERS, Social Security, insurance and other retirement income.

  • TEACHER EMPLOYMENT 8.1. The Board agrees to employ only those teachers who hold at least a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and are certifiable by the New Hampshire State Department of Education. This provision shall not apply in the instance where the availability of personnel is critical and an appropriate waiver is granted by the New Hampshire State Department of Education.

  • Holiday Pay for Employees Laid Off An employee who is laid off at the close of business the day before a holiday who has worked not less than five (5) previous consecutive work days shall be paid for the holiday.

  • Disability Retirement If, as a result of your incapacity due to physical or mental illness, You shall have been absent from the full-time performance of your duties with the Company for 6 consecutive months, and within 30 days after written notice of termination is given You shall not have returned to the full-time performance of your duties, your employment may be terminated for "Disability." Termination of your employment by the Company or You due to your "Retirement" shall mean termination in accordance with the Company's retirement policy, including early retirement, generally applicable to its salaried employees or in accordance with any retirement arrangement established with your consent with respect to You.

  • Long-Term Disability (Employee Paid Plans)

  • Re-employment An employee who resigns her position and within sixty (60) days is re-employed, shall be granted a leave of absence without pay covering those days absent and shall retain all previous rights in relation to seniority and other fringe benefits subject to any benefit plan eligibility requirements.
