Starting and Ending Times. Each employee shall be assigned regular starting and ending times, which shall not be changed without reasonable prior notice; however, Fairgrounds and Convention Center employees are assigned a variable work schedule based upon facilities usage.

On Fridays and days preceding holidays or vacations, teachers will be permitted to leave when the last bus leaves except on days of scheduled professional development. On the last day of school for the school year, teachers will be permitted to leave when the last bus leaves providing the teacher has completed checkout with his/her building administrator.

If, as a result of unforeseen circumstances, the schedule must be changed during the course of the school year, the affected Employees will be notified by the appropriate administrator at the earliest opportunity.

Employees shall be allowed sufficient time to put away tools and equipment and check out during the regular shift period, so that they can leave the Individual Employer’s shop, yard or place of work not later than quitting time.

All lunch breaks must be taken prior to 1:00 p.m. Support staff may not take lunch immediately before their dismissal times in order to leave more than two hours early. This means, if the employee’s lunch is usually scheduled from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. and his/her workday regularly ends at 3:30 p.m., he/she may not leave for lunch at 12:30 p.m. and not return. The earliest support staff employees may leave is two hours prior to the end of their normal workdays. In this situation, the employee will take lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:30
Starting and Ending Times. 1. Starting and ending times either on a daily or weekly basis may vary from building to building or by job classification. It is the SEEO member’s responsibility to notify their administrator regarding any hardship or conflict current starting and ending times may create. Accommodations may be made to the starting and ending times with principal approval. Notification of starting and ending times will be provided to each employee by the building administrator by the second week of the school year.
