Common use of Standing Committee Clause in Contracts

Standing Committee. Landlord and Tenant agree that this Lease is subject to the consent of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark and is not binding until said approvals are granted, which approval shall be evidenced by a letter or other writing, signed by the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ or other authorized person who shall, in such writing, represent his authority to sign and deliver such consent. Landlord will diligently seek this approval.
