Standby Provisions. (a) Where employees are required to stand by to be called for duty under conditions which restrict their normal off-duty activities, they shall be compensated at straight time in the proportion of one (1) hour's pay for each three (3) hours standing by (or prorated portion therefore). An employee designated for standby shall be immediately available for duty during the period of standby at a known telephone number. No standby payment shall be made if an employee is unable to be contacted or to report for duty when required.
