Common use of Standby Compensation Clause in Contracts

Standby Compensation. The employee shall receive one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour as standby compensation for those hours the employee is assigned to standby duty and required to carry a County device (or as mutually agreed upon by the County and employee to be contracted by personal phone in lieu of carrying the County device) and make himself available during non-working hours as described above.
