Standards and definitions Sample Clauses
The "Standards and Definitions" clause establishes the specific meanings of key terms and the benchmarks or criteria that apply throughout the agreement. It typically outlines how certain words, phrases, or technical standards should be interpreted, ensuring that all parties have a shared understanding of important concepts—such as what constitutes "confidential information" or which industry standards must be met. By providing clear definitions and setting objective standards, this clause helps prevent misunderstandings and disputes over interpretation, thereby promoting consistency and clarity in the contract's application.
