Common use of Stand-By Pay Clause in Contracts

Stand-By Pay. An employee who is required to remain on call or stand-by, on completion of their regular hours of work or while on regularly scheduled days off, shall be paid a premium of $2.50 for each hour or portion thereof they are required to stand-by or remain on call. All stand-by duties shall be authorized and scheduled by the Employer and no compensation shall be granted for the period of stand-by if the employee does not report for work when required.
