STAND-BY FOR WORK. 23.1 A stand-by for work is that period of time when an employee is required by the Employer to hold themselves in readiness to perform work outside of their ordinary working hours but is not required to be at their place of employment during that period of stand-by. Provided an employee and the Employer make arrangements as to where the employee may be contacted by the employer and meet the employer's request to report for work if necessary or be released from standing by for work, the employee's movements during such period of stand-by will be unrestricted.
